Victorian Table Makeover

Hello everyone! The weekend is finally here, yay!
I have a sweet little table makeover to share with you today.
I'm not very educated about different furniture styles but I think this would be considered Victorian. I found it at a garage sale for just $5.00! Can you believe that price?! It was raining and cold that day and someone left the husband in charge so I think he just wanted to be done with the sale!
I decided to use the same Rust-Oleum Chalked Ultra Matte Finish Spray Paint that I used on the curb side barstools.
It took about 1 can and a half to do this table.
I wanted to leave the top natural, it's such beautiful wood.
I used Howard's Feed-N-Wax Wood Polish and Conditioner for the top. Here's a side by side of the wood top before and after applying the Howard's.
This is my first time trying this product and I loved it! My friend Donna over at Distressed Donna Down Home uses this all the time with beautiful results and I'm so glad I decided to give it a try!
And of course I distressed it!
I'm really happy with how it turned out, what do you think?
I took it and the barstools down to the antique mall today :o)

Cute table. I love the natural wood top also! I have one very similar at the lake place that I bought for 10 bucks. It was (still is) painted pink and I think rather than stripping it I will just use chalk paint. Someday!

Yes, I swear by Howard's products. Love the details of this table and the white brings them out. I have not tried this Rust-Oleum product - I must find it.

That is one beautiful table Tania. I like the way the top pops with warmth after you added the Howards product.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Mark K. I love how the Howard's worked on the table too, it's the first time I've tried it and I'm so pleased :o)
