Road Trip to Portland
23 May
Friday a friend and I went on a little road trip to Portland, Oregon. I thought I'd share a few pictures of the beautiful scenery.
This is the Columbia river... The Mighty Columbia as it's called! This is the view as you are driving down the freeway toward Portland.
We stopped at Multnomah Falls along the way.
I love this place. There is a trail and you can hike all the way to the top. We didn't do that this time but I have done it before and it's quite the hike but so beautiful!
These pictures are at the very base of the falls near the gift shop and restaurant.
I love all the moss that grows over everything!
This next shot is taken from the little bridge looking down at the 2nd half of the falls.
Then we went on our way to our final destination... IKEA!!! Yay!
We had a great time and it was so nice to get away :o)

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful area.
ReplyDeleteIKEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol Thanks for the tour, lovely places!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love a road trip! The scenery is just gorgeous. My brother in law used to live in Portland. He loved it! I'm glad you had a fun trip! What did you buy at Ikea? :)
ReplyDeleteThe falls are beautiful! And I'm jealous of your ikea. Our closest one is 4 hours away.
ReplyDeleteIt's still too far away for my liking! I saw all kinds of things that I "might" want in the future or that "might" work for my bathroom redo I have planned but I wasn't sure enough to actually buy them... it's a bummer that it's so far because I'm sure I'll decide that I NEED something I saw! lol!

The falls are really impressive. We have been to Oregon twice, once through the centre en route to Nevada and the second time our destination was the Oregon Coast then up to Seattle before heading home to Alberta. I love Oregon! We just drove through Portland and got stuck in traffic so what I saw while sitting on the freeway looked like a great place to visit.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to an IKEA in nearly 20 years. I'd probably go into sensory overload and then walk out with nothing. lol
Thank you for letting me tag along! It was fun! You had a gorgeous day, and I don't think you could have asked for a better one! So...whadya get?
