15 Ideas to Decorate Your Backyard

09 June
My favorite season is summer. When I was young, we were outside all summer and had so much fun making mud pies, playing hide and go seek, riding our bikes, and when we got a little bit older, we went for walks and sat in the yard talking about boys... just enjoying the sunshine.

Nowadays every year as soon as the weather starts getting nice, I start sprucing up my backyard.

I'm sharing some of the ideas I've used over the years. They are easy and don't cost much money. I hope you're inspired.

Add Decor

Add unexpected decor items like a chandelier hanging in a tree. This one is made with an upcycled indoor chandelier. The electrical components were removed and pretty solar lights were added where the light bulbs used to be!

This stack of rocks sculpture was purchased on Amazon, they have a piece of rebar that each rock slides onto but you can just stack some rocks for the same look.

  2. Thanks, I made it from a repurposed chandelier and some pretty glass solar lights... the kind that usually poke into the ground... just took the pokey part off. I had a tutorial post at one time but I lost it along with some other posts... I should try and recreate that!
