Treasure Trove Tuesday - This Week's Thrifting Finds
29 August
It was another good week of thrifting!
Everything you'll see below will eventually make its way to the Etsy shop, Little Boho Cottage except for one item that I just cannot part with!
Of course, if you see something that you are interested in let me know and we can swing a deal before I list it in the shop!
My mom and I went to an estate sale and these were the first things I found and I just love them, they are so cool!
I actually have this one blown up on a plaque. I think these would be really pretty framed.
They are "Giant Post Cards" and dated 1966, 1967, and 1969.
Price $1.00 for all three, Value $6 - $8 each.
There were quite a few of these vintage handkerchief boxes with sweet little hankies inside, I picked up two that I thought were super cool.
This one is really unique, wait until you see inside!
Don't you just love that nautical scene inside the lid?! Not to mention the super cute little hanky trio!
Price $1.00 each, Value $14 - $16 for the pink box, $18 - $20 for this one.
This old butterfly specimen print is cool. Each one says what type of butterfly it is.
Price $1.00, Value $16 - $18.
A pretty orange floral crewel picture.
Price $3.00, Value $20 - $22.
A set of nesting baskets.
I like the design of these, they would make great planters.
Price .75 cents for the pair, Value $20 - $22 for the pair.
An ADORABLE little brass watering can!
I knew that it would probably be pretty popular on Etsy but I had no idea how much they are going for, all the way up to $100!!
I was just as shocked when I asked the price and the answer was .25 cents!! 😍 I think the value of this one will be around $28 - $30.
Love this old soup mug, these look super cute with cactus and succulents planted in them!
Price $1.00, Value $10 - $12.
And this little guy just captured my heart!
Just look at that little wide, flat butt!!! 😉
Price .25 cents, Value $16 - $18.
And some donkeys... mother and slightly stoned looking babies 😂
Price .25 cents, Value $10 - $12.
Oddly enough I was super excited about all these little coin purses!! Aren't they cute!? Most are still in the plastic!
Price .50 cents each, Value $6 - $8 each.
And finally, the one item I am keeping. This was at a garage sale of very over priced collectibles... but this was only $1.00!! It is quite large too!
What do you think, which item is your favorite?

There's too much to like!!! The butterflies are really nice. I wouldn't mind hanging them in the library! And, I love the weave of the baskets. Those are such a treat! Then, the brass watering can. Sweet find! And, the little coin purses are so darn cute and small. You had a very nice haul.
ReplyDeleteSo many good finds! I love the little watering can the best!
ReplyDeleteI like the flower cup the best!
ReplyDeleteI loved all of them! But I had to laugh out loud when I read your comment and saw the donkeys--you're right, the babies look like they've had a hard "trip." I always enjoy your blog so much!
ReplyDeleteThese were all super cute! Love those giant postcards! The pig is cute & love the watering can! Didn't know those were so valuable.
ReplyDeleteThanks Florence! I had no idea about the watering cans either... we'll see how this one does!

I know! I'm trying to be much more selective lately since I won't have my booths at the antique mall after Thursday but man... sometimes I just can't help myself!!

You did great, as always! I look forward to this post every week :-) It's hard to pick a favorite but I love the wonderful hanky boxes. Hope your online shop is doing well. Do you miss your space at the antique mall?
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn! I'm glad you like this post :o) Actually tomorrow is my last day for my booth, I'll be heading over there about noon to clear it out. I'm sure I'll miss it a little but it will be nice to not have to worry about it anymore too... I can concentrate on working on projects for myself and my house... and of course for the blog!! ;o)
