Wood Burned Wood Slice Ornaments
11 December
It's time for our monthly Thrifty Chicks challenge!
I know it's only Tuesday but we moved it up a day because a couple of us are participating in the Twelve Days of Christmas blog hop and we have Day 11 on Wednesday!
Anyway, on to our challenge! This month's challenge is ornaments! If you are new to the Thrifty Chicks you can see some of our other projects HERE.
I created these ornaments for a special little project that you'll get to see on Thursday so be sure to check back!

I had some of these wood slice ornaments left over from a craft night party I had recently.
I just free handed a couple of little drawings on them... a campfire and some mountains... and then traced over the pencil lines with my wood burning tool.
I drilled a hole in the top of mine but you can buy them pre-drilled too. Then I picked out some rusty jingle bells to add to them.
I used jute twine and strung that through the hole in the jingle bell and the hole in the ornament.
I made some little bows from scraps of an old flannel sheet.
And glued those to the top.
And my little ornament is all finished!
I love how they turned out and they were so easy! What do you think?
