Spring Patio Refresh
11 May
Isn't it funny how winter wreaks havoc on our outdoor spaces?? I mean, we don't even leave the warmth of our cozy homes to go out there yet once winter passes it looks like a tornado came through... or maybe that's just me 😬
My back patio was looking a little worse for wear so I decided it was time for a spring clean up and refresh!
I started by taking everything except the couch off the patio, but let's take a look at the before.
It's hard to tell in the pictures but the only clean thing out there was the cushions on the couch!
I'm tired of the baker's rack and all the stuff out there.
So, I removed everything, sprayed off the patio and house and then started picking and choosing what I wanted to put back.
I decided to make it a little more colorful so I brought in these painted tires (they used to hang on my fence with flowers planted in them). I stacked them up and then put the round wood top on to use as a coffee table!
I found this cute pillow at Goodwill a couple weeks ago for $3.99!

And I just picked up these two Threshold patio chairs at Target, they match the pillow perfectly! They had lots of colors and they are only $19.99!
The little table between the two lounge chairs is a little folding camping stool with a piece of wood on top. I'll find the perfect little table but for now, this will do!
The hens and chicks in my chicken planter have really gone to town! Look at the size of these babies!!
I had some other hens and chicks that weren't doing well where they were planted so last fall I stuck them in a vacant planter and look at what they are doing! Babies having babies😂
While I was rummaging around in the garage looking for something to use for the side table I found this old bed spring (actually I think it's an old car seat spring!)
I decided to try using it for my vintage garden tools.
The little clay pots rest in between the springs perfectly!
I can add more tools as I find them!
What do you think?
I still need to get a few flowers for these two pots.
My green door goes perfectly with the new colorful patio!
These ceramic hands used to be a little bird bath but the center broke inside the hands so they will no longer hold water. I recycled it and am using it for a planter now!
I'm really happy with my patio now, it seems so much lighter and clean without all the "stuff"!
