DIY Upcycled Dream Catcher - 7 Days of Thrift Shop Flips - Day Six
22 August
Some of the most common thrift store finds are craft supplies and jewelry, they are at pretty much all thrift stores! Sometimes you can get bags of jewelry, there is always lots of yarn and ribbon, and embroidery hoops galore!
For today's thrift shop flip, I used some of these common finds along with vintage linens (also a common find).
Here are the supplies I used.
Put the doily into the embroidery hoop and then begin to add ribbons and strings to the back. I tied the ends of mine in knots and then hot glued them to the back of the embroidery hoop.
The ribbons that say "energie" are the ribbons that are sewn into lots of brands of clothing to keep the garment on the hanger. I always save those when I remove them!
Add various jewelry pieces for a fun, eclectic look.
Hang a fun earring over the hoop clasp.
Add some cute ribbon around the edge of the hoop for a finished look.
The feathers I used are some I found online (image search!) and printed. I glued them to the ends of some of the ribbons.
