Upcycled and Repurposed Picture Frames
Picture frames are something that every thrift store has and they are usually pretty cheap too. They are great candidates for upcycling and repurposing!
Today I'm sharing an example of both... upcycling and repurposing a couple of old frames for this thrift shop flip😄
Upcycled and Repurposed Picture Frames
I thought they were really pretty pictures and considered selling them as is but when I took them apart I discovered that the pictures were just calendar pages that someone had framed.
I decided to add a quote to one of them. I printed the quote I wanted and transferred it to the picture with transfer paper.
Then I used white craft paint to fill in the letters.
For the other frame, I chose to make a tray!
For the tray base, I used the cardboard circle from inside the frame and old yardsticks!
What do you think of these projects? Have you ever made anything with an old picture frame?
Great idea adding typography to the existing framed art. Great idea turning the other into a cute little tray. Love the yardstick base! I could use a tray like that in my bathroom. Goodwill, here I come!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie! I know, I was planning to resell these in my shop but now I'm seriously considering keeping them! lol

I like both projects! The picture with the added lettering is great. The wording adds needed interest to an otherwise nondescript scene! And the tray with rulers is genius! Love it! Great job on both!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
